No matter which of the missions you successfully complete first, Catalina will run off and you'll get a call from a guy called "The Truth." His missions will be marked by a TT on the map. You'll get $5000 upon completing this mission. instead drive under it and turn right into the red marker. Follow the road to the spaghetti bowl (where all the highways loop), but don't get on.
Just plow straight ahead and drive through them if they get in your way. Your ride is much bigger than theirs, so don't deviate from your course. They are all over the road and often explode themselves during the course of the mission. You don't have to worry too much about your pursuers. Go back past the diner where you met Catalina, and head out of town that way, taking a left to follow toward the yellow blip on the map. If they whittle your health down to zero, or your trailer gets disconnected at any point (by jackknifing too bad), the mission will end. Once it's connected, the guys from the gas station will try to stop you.
Read the onscreen instructions to learn to controls for looking backwards and slowly work the semi back to the hitch. The idea is to pick up the tanker by backing up into it. But when the shop keeper tells her it's not going to happen, she comes up with a better plan. When you arrive at the gas station, Cesar's cousin will go inside and try to hold it up.
